OnPlay Privacy and Data Policy

1. Types of information collected.

We need to process user information to provide OnPlay application services. The types of information we collect are set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Your actions, the actions of others, and the information you and they provide.

  • Information and Content You Provide. We collect content, messages and other information that you provide when you use the application, including when you register for an account, create or share content, post messages/comments or interact with other users. This may include information from or about the content you provide (such as metadata), such as file creation date, file type, video encoding. In addition, we may collect data about what you see through features we provide, such as Camera, for example to provide access to the Video or Profile Photo editor. Our systems automatically process content and communications provided by you and others to analyze their context and content for the purposes described below.
  • Your Use of the Products. We collect information about how you use our Products, such as the types of content you view or interact with; the features you use; the actions you take; the people or accounts you interact with; the time, frequency and duration of your actions. For example, we record information about when you use and last used our Products, and what posts, videos and other content you view on our Products. We also collect information about how you use features such as our camera.
  • Information about transactions made in the application. This includes payment information such as credit or debit card number and other information, other account and authentication information, billing and shipping information, and contact information.
  • The actions of other people and the information they provide about you. We also receive and analyze the content, messages and information that other people provide when they use our application. This could be information about you, such as when other people share or comment on a photo of you, send you a message, or download, sync, or import your contact information.

Information from devices.

As described below, we collect information from the phones and other internet-connected devices you use that integrate with the App, as well as information about those devices, and aggregate such data across the different devices you use. For example, we use the information we collect about how you use the App on your phone to better personalize the content (including ads) or features you see when you use the App on another device, or to determine whether you have taken any action in response to an advertisement we served on your phone on another device.

We receive the following information from these devices:

  • Device attributes: Information such as operating system, hardware and software versions, battery level, signal strength, amount of available memory, browser type, application and file names and types, and plugins.
  • Device Actions: Information about device actions: window location in foreground or background, mouse pointer movements (this helps distinguish bots from humans).
  • Identifiers: Unique identifiers, device IDs and other identifiers, such as games, applications or accounts you use, and general device IDs (or other identifiers.
  • Device Signals: Bluetooth signals and information about nearby Wi-Fi hotspots, beacons, and cell towers.
  • Device Settings Data: Information you allow us to obtain by enabling device settings, such as access to your location data (GPS), camera, or photos.
  • Network and Connections: Information such as your mobile operator or provider, language, time zone, mobile phone number, IP address, connection speed, and in some cases information about other devices nearby or on your network.
  • Cookie Data: Data from cookies stored on your device, including cookie IDs and cookie settings. To learn more about how we use cookies, please see our Cookie Policy.

2. Use of information.

We use the information we hold (subject to your settings) for the purposes described below and to provide and support the OnPlay Mobile Application:

To provide, personalize and improve the Application.

  • We combine information about your activities on the App across devices to create a more personalized and consistent experience across all your App experiences.
  • Location Information: We use location information—such as your current location, where you live, the places you like to visit, and the businesses and people you are near—to provide, personalize, and improve the App, including advertising, for you and others. Location information may be derived from information such as your device's precise location (if you have allowed us to collect this information), IP addresses, and information collected through your and others' use of the Application (such as clickstreams or events you go to).
  • Product Research and Development: We use available information to develop, test and improve the Application, including by conducting surveys and research, and testing and troubleshooting new products and features.
  • Facial recognition: When you have this feature turned on, we use facial recognition technology to recognize you in photos and camera images.
  • Advertising and Other Sponsored Content: We use the information we have about you—including information about your interests, activities, and connections—to tailor and personalize the advertisements, offers, and other sponsored content that we show you.

To provide measurement, statistics and other business services.

We use the information we have (including about your activities outside of our App, such as the sites you visit and the ads you view) to help advertisers and other partners measure the effectiveness and distribution of their ads and services and understand what types of people use their services and how people interact with their sites, apps and services.

To promote safety, integrity and security.

  • We use the information we have to verify accounts and activities, combat harmful behavior, identify and prevent spam and other unpleasant experiences, and maintain the integrity of our Application. For example, we use existing data to investigate suspicious activity or violations of our terms and policies.
  • To interact with you.
  • We use the information we hold to send you marketing offers, communicate with you about the Application, and communicate our policies and terms. We also need the information to respond to your requests.

3. Methods of providing this information.

We provide your information to other parties, namely:

  • We work with third party partners who help us provide and improve our Application. Thanks to this collaboration, our companies operate and provide free services to people around the world. We do not and will never sell your information to anyone. We also strictly limit how partners use and disclose the information we provide. Here are the types of third parties with whom we share information:
  • Partners using our analytics services.
  • We provide aggregated statistics that help people and businesses understand how people interact with their posts, listings, Pages, videos and other content.
  • Advertisers.
  • We provide advertisers with reports about the types of people who view their ads and the performance of their ads, but we do not share with them personally identifiable information (such as your name or email address, which itself could be used to contact you or identify you) without your permission.
  • Measurement partners.
  • We share information about you with companies who aggregate it to provide analytics and measurement reports to our partners.
  • Suppliers of goods and services.
  • We provide information and content to product and service providers who support our business, such as maintaining technical infrastructure, analyzing the use of our Products, dealing with customers, processing payments, and conducting surveys.
  • Law enforcement and official requests.
  • We provide information to law enforcement or other authorities in response to official requests in the situations described below.

4. Management and deletion of Personal Information.

We provide you with options to access, correct, port, and delete your data. We retain the data until we no longer need it to provide OnPlay App services or until you delete your account, whichever comes first. The retention period is determined on a case-by-case basis depending on factors such as the nature of the data, the purpose for its collection and processing, and the relevant legal or operational needs for its retention. When you delete your account at your request, we delete all information that you have published and you will not be able to subsequently restore this information. Information shared about you by other people is not part of your account and cannot be deleted.

5. Preventing damage and responding to official requests.

We access, store and share your information with regulators, law enforcement agencies and others:

  • pursuant to a formal request (such as a search warrant, court order or subpoena) if we have reasonable grounds to believe that we are required by law to do so. Among other things, we may respond to official requests from countries other than the Russian Federation if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the response is required by the laws of that country or territory, affects users in that country or territory, and is consistent with internationally accepted standards.
  • If we reasonably believe it is necessary to: detect, prevent or stop fraud, unauthorized use of the Application, violations of our terms or policies, or other harmful or illegal activities; to protect ourselves (including our rights, property or the Application), you or others, including during investigations or in response to regulatory requests; or to prevent death or immediate threat to health. For example, when necessary, we share information with third-party partners about the security of your account to prevent fraud, abuse, and other harmful activity on the App.

We may retain and access information we collect about you (including financial transaction data related to purchases on Facebook) for a longer period if it is the subject of a formal request or legal obligation, a government investigation, or investigation of possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm. We also retain information from accounts disabled for violating the Terms for at least a year to prevent repeat violations or other violations of the Terms.

6. Notification of changes to this policy.

We will notify you in advance of changes to this policy and will give you the opportunity to review the revised version of this document before deciding whether to continue using the Application.
